Glass Conference Room Walls & Meeting Room Partition Systems

A glass conference room does not automatically need the thickest partition or the most expensive double-glazed system.

The right configuration depends on how the room will be used, how much conversation privacy is required, whether visual privacy is needed, and how the partition needs to work with the surrounding office.

EGood provides single-glazed, double-glazed, framed and panoramic glass partition systems for small meeting rooms, standard conference rooms, client meeting spaces and executive boardrooms.

Choose a Glass Partition for Your Meeting Room

Start with the room function rather than the product model.

A small internal meeting room used for routine staff discussions does not normally need the same configuration as a boardroom used for management or confidential client meetings.

These are starting points rather than fixed specifications. Final selection should also consider partition height, doors, privacy requirements, acoustic expectations and site conditions.

This follows the same principle we use when selecting a broader demountable glass partition system: use the simplest configuration that genuinely meets the room requirement rather than automatically increasing specification.

Should a Meeting Room Use Single or Double Glazing?

Single glazing can be enough when the main priorities are transparency, a lighter visual structure and basic space separation.

For example, a small internal meeting room used mainly for routine staff discussions may not need double glazing simply because it is considered the higher specification.

Double glazing becomes more relevant when the room is used for client meetings, management discussions, finance work or other conversations where privacy matters more.

It is also worth considering when the design requires integrated blinds, wiring or a deeper modular partition structure.

The decision should therefore be based on how the room will actually be used.

For a more detailed comparison, see Single vs Double Glazed Office Partitions.

How Much Acoustic Privacy Does Your Conference Room Need?

Meeting-room acoustic privacy depends on the complete partition system, not on the glass alone.

A double-glazed wall will not automatically deliver the expected privacy if sound can still travel through the door, perimeter joints, ceiling or adjoining construction.

A useful way to think about the system is:

Glass + Frame + Seals + Door + Perimeter Connection + Adjacent Construction = Actual Acoustic Performance

For the EGood systems commonly considered for conference rooms:

SystemConfigurationAcoustic Performance
EGG-30HMinimalist single glazingApprox. 38–40 dB
EGG-90A90 mm framed double glazingApprox. 38–40 dB
EGG-100A100 mm modular double glazingApprox. 39–42 dB
EGG-100C100 mm panoramic double glazingApprox. 39–42 dB

These are system-selection reference values. Actual performance varies with glazing, seals, doors and installation conditions. They should not be described as STC, Rw or certified ratings unless the exact configuration is supported by a corresponding test report.

For more detail on how glazing, frames, doors and perimeter sealing affect privacy, see Acoustic Glass Walls for Offices.

Visual Privacy Does Not Mean Giving Up Natural Light

A glass meeting room can still provide visual privacy.

The right option depends mainly on whether privacy is required permanently or only during certain meetings.

Clear glass works well where daylight and visual openness are the priority.

Frosted glass is more suitable where a consistent level of visual screening is required.

Integrated blinds are useful when the meeting room needs to switch between openness and privacy.

Privacy film can also be considered for project-specific layouts and design requirements.

For EGood systems, EGG-90A and selected EGG-100 modular double-glazed configurations can support integrated blinds or related privacy options.

Privacy should therefore be considered when the partition system is selected, rather than treated as a decorative detail after the wall has already been specified.

Framed or Panoramic Glass for a Conference Room?

Choose a framed system when integration and functionality are the stronger priorities. Choose a minimalist or panoramic system when visual continuity matters more.

Framed double-glazed systems are generally more suitable when the project requires integrated blinds, wiring, defined aluminum framing or more system configuration options.

Minimalist and panoramic systems reduce visible framing and create a more continuous glass appearance.

For example:

EGG-30H can be considered for simple, visually open meeting-room zoning.

EGG-100C provides a panoramic double-glazed configuration for boardrooms and premium transparent office spaces.

Neither direction is automatically better.

The useful question is:

Does this meeting room need more system integration, or is visual continuity the bigger priority?

Egood Glass Partition Options for Conference Rooms

GG-30H — For Small and Open Meeting Spaces

EGG-30H is a 30 mm minimalist single-glazed partition system suited to meeting-room zoning where transparency and a light visual structure are the main priorities.

Common glazing options include 10 mm or 12 mm tempered glass, while laminated glass can also be considered where suitable for the project.

Key reference data:

System depth: 30 mm
Glass: 10 / 12 mm tempered glass
Acoustic performance: Approx. 38–40 dB
Level adjustment: Up to 20 mm
Typical application: Open offices, showrooms and meeting-room zoning

This is a practical starting point when the room does not genuinely require a deeper double-glazed structure.

EGG-90A — For Standard Commercial Meeting Rooms

EGG-90A is a 90 mm exposed-frame double-glazed partition designed for rooms that need more functionality than a minimalist single-glazed wall.

Depending on the project configuration, the system can use 5 mm, 6 mm or 8 mm tempered glass.

It can also incorporate wiring and integrated blinds.

Key reference data:

System depth: 90 mm
Configuration: Exposed-frame double glazing
Glass: 5 / 6 / 8 mm tempered glass depending on configuration
Acoustic performance: Approx. 38–40 dB
Level adjustment: Up to 15 mm
Wiring: Available
Integrated blinds: Available

Meeting rooms, manager offices and finance rooms are among its intended applications.

EGG-100A — For Meeting Rooms Requiring More System Integration

EGG-100A is a 100 mm modular exposed-frame double-glazed partition intended for meeting rooms, manager offices and commercial fit-out projects.

Its deeper modular construction makes it relevant where glazing, privacy options, wiring and the overall wall system need to be considered together.

Key reference data:

System depth: 100 mm
Configuration: Exposed-frame double glazing
Glass: Commonly 5 / 6 mm tempered glass
Acoustic performance: Approx. 39–42 dB
Level adjustment: Up to 10 mm
Wiring: Available
Blinds: Available by project

This is a stronger starting point for client-facing or privacy-conscious meeting rooms where the wall needs to do more than simply divide the space.

EGG-100C — For Executive Conference Rooms and Boardrooms

EGG-100C combines a panoramic glass appearance with a 100 mm double-glazed partition structure.

It is particularly relevant for projects where the client wants greater privacy without giving up a continuous glass appearance.

Key reference data:

System depth: 100 mm
Configuration: Panoramic double glazing
Glass: 10 / 12 mm tempered glass
Optional glazing: 5+5 mm / 6+6 mm laminated glass where suitable
Acoustic performance: Approx. 39–42 dB
Level adjustment: Up to 10 mm

Its documented applications include boardrooms, premium offices and privacy-focused transparent spaces.

Conference Room Design Options

The partition should match the office design without making the meeting room harder to use.

A black framed system creates a stronger architectural grid, while lighter aluminum finishes can make the partition visually quieter.

Panoramic glass reduces visible vertical framing.

Frosted glass provides permanent visual privacy, while integrated blinds allow the room to move between transparency and privacy when required.

For this section, images are more useful than long explanations.

Use real project photos, showroom images or genuine product installations where possible. Do not label rendering images as completed projects.

Doors Are Part of the Conference Room System

The door should be selected together with the partition because it affects access, appearance, privacy and the overall acoustic result.

Depending on the project layout and selected system, EGood can provide options including aluminum-framed double-glazed doors, concealed-frame double-glazed doors, frosted double-glazed doors, frameless glass pivot doors, solid doors and concealed sliding glass doors.

A minimalist meeting room may use a glass door to maintain visual continuity.

A privacy-focused conference room may need a different door construction and sealing arrangement.

The wall and door should therefore be evaluated as one system rather than specified independently.

Check the Site Before Finalizing the Partition System

Room dimensions and fixing conditions should be confirmed before the final glass and partition configuration is approved.

For a single glass panel, the recommended maximum height is approximately 3.4 m.

This does not mean the total partition wall height is limited to 3.4 m. Taller partition walls can use segmented glazing.

Other items to confirm include:

  • floor-to-ceiling height;
  • ceiling and fixing conditions;
  • floor condition;
  • wall junctions;
  • door position;
  • corner layout;
  • installation access.

For unusual heights or structural conditions, the drawings should be reviewed before the system is finalized.

How Much Will a Glass Conference Room Cost?

There is no single price per square meter that applies to every conference room.

The quotation changes with the system depth, single or double glazing, glass type, height, number of doors, aluminum finish, privacy options and layout.

A small single-glazed meeting room and a double-glazed executive boardroom may have similar floor areas but very different material and hardware requirements.

What Do We Need to Prepare Your Quotation?

You do not need a complete technical specification before contacting EGood.

For an initial system recommendation and quotation, send us:

  • floor plan or architectural drawing;
  • partition wall length;
  • floor-to-ceiling height;
  • door quantity and approximate position;
  • how the room will be used;
  • required level of conversation privacy;
  • clear glass, frosted glass or blinds preference;
  • project location.

If you do not have a specified acoustic target, simply tell us whether the space is for routine staff meetings, client discussions, management meetings or confidential conversations.

At the early project stage, that information is often more useful than selecting an arbitrary acoustic number.
