Before manufacturing office glass partitions, the final shop drawings, quotation and product specifications must reflect the same agreed requirements.
A small change to a door position, glass configuration or hardware selection can affect the components required for production. This checklist covers the details customers should review before signing the final drawings.
1. Do the Office Glass Partition Drawings Match the Final Quotation?
Compare the latest shop drawings with the final quotation, partition schedule and confirmed site dimensions.
Check that each partition run has the correct location, width, height and door quantity.
For example, if a revised meeting room layout includes an additional glass door, both the quotation and door schedule should reflect that change. Otherwise, the approved supply scope may differ from the drawings.
Changes to finished floor or ceiling levels should also be reflected in the partition dimensions.
If measurements are not yet final, see our guide on how to measure office glass partitions.
2. Which Glass Partition Specifications Must Be Confirmed Before Production?
Confirm the specifications that affect manufacturing, especially where different rooms require different configurations.
| Item | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Partition system | Model, glass type, thickness and glazing configuration |
| Doors | Quantity, dimensions, location and opening direction |
| Hardware | Locks, hinges, handles, closers and access control |
| Finishes | Aluminum color, frosting and integral blinds |
| Connections | Wall junctions, corners and special profiles |
Some details need particular attention.
Integral blinds: For double-glazed partitions, confirm which panels require blinds and how they will be operated. These details affect the glass panel configuration.
Door hardware: Confirm the lock type and access-control requirements before manufacturing. Electronic locks may require specific frame preparation or wiring provisions.
Any manufacturing-related item marked TBC (To Be Confirmed) should be resolved before the final drawings are signed.
If specification changes affect the agreed supply, review the quotation as well. See our Office Glass Partition Cost Guide for the main pricing factors.
3. How Are Office Glass Partition Shop Drawings Approved?
At Egood, customers review and sign the final shop drawings before production preparation begins.
The approved drawing set should identify the correct revision and include all agreed changes. Comments affecting dimensions, door positions or installation connections should be resolved before signing.
After customer approval, Egood’s sales team transfers the confirmed requirements to the design department, which prepares the production documents for the workshop.
4. Can Office Glass Partition Drawings Be Changed After Approval?
Changes may still be possible after approval, but their impact depends on the production status.
For example, relocating a glass door before manufacturing may require revised drawings and renewed customer confirmation.
If the frames or glass panels have already been manufactured, the same change may require replacement components and affect the project cost or delivery schedule.
Contact Egood before proceeding with changes to the approved design.
If site conditions have changed, our Office Glass Partition Site Preparation Guide explains the installation conditions that may require coordination.
